1) Flyjumpers Power Jumping Stilts:

Without doubt, the best stilts for the money. Hands down an industry standard for all levels of involvement from amateur to professional to fooling around in the park.

2) Power Skip:

I know what you are thinking way too pricey! right? Yes, but i think one must be able to spend the money for good fun. It has good solid rubber foot which is really hard and it gives you the required push.

3) Powerizer:

It is also considered to be on par with power skip but i personally consider to be good but not on par with the one mentioned above but it is definitely worth your one.

This one is straight from hell. This one attains good height with minimum strength. You will definitely enjoy this.

5) Street Jumpers:

As the name suggests it is built for the streets. It is highly suitable for kids but not the choice of the pros.

6) Upwingz:

This is also another brand which has been a favorite of the masses and this is also good for people who want to be a pro.

Extreme Jumping Stlits

Power Jumping Stilts , May 23rd, 2010

Because the PowerSkip, by the inventor, is commonly considered to be the best-made jumping stilt. An enhanced version of the PowerSkip is modified in the US and sold as Velocity Stilts. However, the PowerSkip (and VS’s) is very expensive and the other models are improving and perform equally to these expensive models.
That being said, your best to go with one of the other models for recreational use. You’ll want to consider performance, comfort, and maintenence issues before choosing.

Performance: The PowerSkip Bow (spring) has long been considered the best. It is very expensive from PowerSkip, but is now available on the PowerStrider brand jumping stilts at a reasonable price.

Comfort: There are two models of calf-fittings on jumping stilts. One is the “knee bar” which is a solid bar that wraps around the lower part of the knee. The other is the “calf-cuff.”

Maintenence: The main component on jumping stilts that wears out is the rubber foot pad at the bottom of the stilt. Almost all the models require that you purchase the entire metal piece for new rubber. However, the PowerStrider model does have replaceable rubber footpads. Instead of having to disassemble and replace the whole leg, you simply remove and replace 4 small screws. Very easy! This can save you hundreds of dollars over the life of your stilts.

So, in the final analysis, currently, the PowerStrider is the best overall stilt for performance, comfort, and maintenence.

Jumping Stilts Running Up A Storm

Power Jumping Stilts , April 15th, 2010

Ever since I was a kid I loved using jumping stilts. I will never forget the summer that I spent with my cousin in West Virginia. He should me how to jump stilts in the backyard. First time I got on the stilts I fell. This did not stop me because I wanted to beat my cousin at it. So my competitive nature caused me to practice over and over again until I had it. After numerous falls and six stitches to the forehead, I finally beat him.

Bouncy Stilts brand are very fun, I would recommend this to first timers due to the easy bounce system. Speed Jumpers Redoxx brand are great for advanced jumps, I use these when I’m in a race. How strap on stilts can be the best or worst way to go

Power Jumping Stilts , April 5th, 2010

Jumping stilts is my favorite sport these days. It is so cool that I can jump heights without any difficulties. I just lift my foot slowly and move forward as I walk, and that force of gravity moves the foot back to the ground. The spring in these stilts uses that energy and bounces my foot right back up in the air on my next step and the momentum continues with the rise in speed. I could also run a minimum speed of 25MPH effortlessly.

Imagine a place filled with traffic, these jumping stilts could be an easier way out to pass through it. I would say am contributing my part towards global warming as I do not produce carbon dioxide when I use this. Eco-friendly is my major concern and I vouch for this as its no smoke! These jumping stilts are more fun than the usual skates which I am bored of using. Every jump with these stilts is just fantastic and adventurous.

I am a risk lover and I love the thrills which make the heart skip a beat every time and I would say that these stilts are just my way of life. I just feel like a super-woman when I use this, especially when I jump heights. This is not a good one for weak-hearted or scared people. This sport as I claim it is very dangerous.

Even I have had my share of injuries, not major ones though! That’s why, these days I do not use them without wearing my safety gears. Unprofessional use of these stilts might cause a serious injury or sometimes might even lead to death.

How Power Riser Stilts Made Me Cool

Power Jumping Stilts , March 25th, 2010

Jumping stilts were new when I was a kid, and at first I could not get the hang of them. Not for lack of trying. I was out there almost every day, I must have rugged up the grass in the yard pretty good. Jumping, falling, toppling – never getting it right. So after a while, I almost gave up. But then, there is the guy across the fence, the neigbors kid. You know how you sometimes get whey you are a kid, you really worship someone. And here I was at six, and he was twelve. And had a pair of jumping stilts, too. Maybe that is why I got mine. DJY_0662

Maybe I nagged my parents to give them to me until finally they relented. It was not even Christmas, and they were not that generous with presents. But certainly that was why I practiced, and practiced, and finally got the hang of it. So one day, I jumped on the stilts, and it all clicked. I was jumping faster than I could walk, I finally had more than two legs. I started jumping down the street.

The guy next door sees me. Yes, he always thought I was a dork. But this time, he falls over. Pratfalls, off his stilts – right into his mothers beloved roses. I jumped on down the street. That was when I started enjoying my jumping stilts.

How do you do kangoo jumps shoes

Power Jumping Stilts , March 18th, 2010

I love Jumping Stilts!! Firstly they remind me of Jar Jar Bink’s army in Star Wars, and who wouldn’t want to feel like they are in a futuristic movie? The amount of bounce that you can get is like nothing you will ever experience again. When I first put them on I was a little apprehensive, as I had never used stilts before, but found them really easy to master.

I love running with them along the beach promenade and I get questions all the time about them. I am not Australian but my friends now call me Kangaroo. It would be interesting to see a race with a kangaroo and a guy on Jumping Stilts. I love having competitions with my friends to see who can jump the highest and who can jump the furthest. What surprised me is that I can actually get a really good workout from just jumping around. Running is so old fashioned now that I can jump and bounce everywhere I go.

I have seem people flip over cars and do the most amazing things on jumping stilts, for me I am going to stick to going down the street and having fun with my friends and leave that to the professionals.

How did I become the crazy man on stilts

Power Jumping Stilts , March 15th, 2010

Stilts "battle"

Image via Wikipedia

Many a times I have seen people who had some device strapped to their feet, and they were jumping up & down incredibly high. After saving money i bought a similar pair, because I was so stoked about this. As they arrived I took them out to the driveway to put them to the test and my excitement was unlimited and it was fun with lot of happiness and an awesome experience Skateboard and guitar are some of many of the cool items in the world, but nothing is as fun as jumping high in the air.

Its like riding a theme park ride and is also a workout for me. Showing them off to curious people on the sidewalks and playgrounds is part of the fun that I enjoy the most. Seeing the reaction of people who have never seen someone jump so high on stilts always adds to the fun that i love so much. A crowd of people were watching me, and then smiled and applauded. I was always a quiet kid who kept to himself and nobody really noticed, so i couldn’t get over how much other people paid attention to me.

We had a lot of fun. You will not regret this at all. I believe everyone should have these stilts, they are one of the best things I have ever invested in. Jumping on stilts is too much fun and if you want to use them in the snow try and be a lot more careful on them, secondly dress warm and you have to take care of your jumping stilts a lot better.

We need jumping stilts for sale

Power Jumping Stilts , March 12th, 2010

I think Jumping Stilts are the COOLEST! I got them last year for christmas from my parents. I learned how to do a backflip, I always wear my helmet, I love the feeling of jumping into the air, it’s like walking on the moon!

My boyfriend and I occasionally go to the park, hold hands and jump stilt together. I’m sure people think we are ridiculious, but we sure have a good time! I first saw them used when I went on a cruise, the lady was baton twirling on them. They did some really cool things, and I was hooked.

Afterwards they let a few people try them out, and that is how I found out about them. I plan on buying my younger brother and sister a pair next year. My sister isn’t really athletic so maybe it will encourage her. I think everyone should try them atleast once! I always have the most fun! It’s the perfect outdoor activity and you can do it for hours and not get too tired! I have also seen some people do really extreme things. It’s also very useful for exercise. I love the bindings on mine, they don’t hurt and my feet fit perfectly. I don’t know what I would do without them. They are AWESOME!

The truth on pro jumping stilts safety

Power Jumping Stilts , March 10th, 2010

Actually jumping stilts are not dangerous – at all. Sure if one uses them carelessly during the initial learning period, a person could incur an injury, but a serious injury is not very likely. Compare the risk of injury of using jumping stilts to riding a bike, or snow skiing.

When you are learning, you feel a bit awkward and clumsy, and even fall down at times. It’’s during this learning phase that we strongly recommend wearing a helmet, wrist & elbow guards. But after a few days or weeks, depending on your usage, you begin to get the hang of it. You realize you are rarely falling. Your confidence soon skyrockets, and soon the idea of a serious fall or injury isn’t a concern. When you do fall, trying that first flip, you realize you have become very adapt at catching yourself.
